The secret to being a successful writer is to write all the time everyday. Write about whatever you can think of and try and write it well. Your writing will continue to get better more and more as you practice it. Once you have written something go ahead and start submitting it to anybody who is willing to read it. Don't write and not get it read that defeats the purpose and does not allow you to grow as an author. Publish it online to get a sense of what other writers and authors feel about your work and what level you are on. Let them critique your work and tell you what they feel you need to improve to become a better writer. Now take their advice with a grain of salt because a lot of people have their own opinion and unless they are incredibly successful they really can do much for you.

Start learning about writing and grammar so your work can be more educated. Their are a number of tools and resources to help correct any mistakes in your work. Begin learning and mastering the creation of sentences so they will be longer and more diverse as far as literature. Try and increase your vocabulary even though the more you write the greater your vocabulary becomes. Don't forget to be creative in your work because you need to be able to have original work that is creative, i can not stress this enough. Start learning article techniques that will catch your readers attention and entice them to read more. These techniques are just important as being a good writer because you can't be good if nobody wants to read it.

Show your experience and emotions in your writing. Let your audience believe they can connect with you and not just follow along. Your audience needs to believe you and the words you write. Don't be afraid to let people know how you feel through your writing and once you have done this and gradually developed your style of writing learn to be humble. You must learn this because no one likes a stuck up author who is full of himself.
